Accreditation

Through the accreditation and compliance activities, the University reaffirms its ongoing commitment to academic excellence and innovation.
Institutional Accreditation
The University of Kentucky is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award baccalaureate, masters, specialist, and doctoral degrees. Contact the Commission on Colleges at 1866 Southern Lane, Decatur, Georgia 30033-4097, or call 404-679-4500 for questions about the accreditation of the University of Kentucky.
Please contact the Commission only if there is evidence that appears to support the University’s significant non-compliance with SACSCOC requirement or standard. Other inquiries, such as admission requirements, financial aid, educational programs, etc., should be directed to the appropriate University department or unit.
Institutional accreditation and academic compliance are overseen by the associate provost for institutional effectiveness and the provost of the University.
