Sarah Whitaker

Sarah Whitaker is an Education Abroad Advisor working with the Colleges of Agriculture, Food and Environment, Health Sciences, Nursing, Pharmacy, Public Health, and Social Work, with special responsibility for internship and service-learning programs. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, with minors in European Studies and Italian, from the University of Notre Dame and a Master’s degree in Global Studies in Education from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Sarah has previously worked in Education Abroad at universities in New York and Indiana.

Yiyi Tang

Yiyi Tang holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Finance from Zhejiang and Fundan Universities in China. She earned her MBA degree in May 2013 from the University of Texas at Austin. She has extensive experience in finance and accounting. Prior to coming to the United States for her MBA degree, she worked with Deloitte CPA Firm and Deloitte Consulting in Shanghai, China.

 

Monica Blackmun Visonà

Monica Blackmun Visonà, an Africanist and an Associate Professor of Art History in the School of Art and Visual Studies, supervises the Certificate in Global Studies.  Academic advisors check students’ records to see whether their courses and study abroad qualify students for the CGS, but Dr. Visonà reviews their two reflective essays and helps them troubleshoot the process.  Dr. Visonà is committed to working with individual students who wish to draw upon their international background in their future study, and in their careers.
