The HSK is a standardized international Chinese language proficiency test for assessing non-native Chinese speakers' competence in the Chinese language. The test measures Chinese language proficiency in daily, academic and professional situations, and consists of written and oral tests. The written test is divided into six levels--HSK (level I), HSK (level II), HSK (level III), HSK (level IV), HSK (level V), and HSK (level VI). The oral test is divided into three levels-- HSK Beginner Level, HSK Intermediate Level, and HSK Advanced Level. During the oral test, test takers’ speeches will be recorded.
