2014 Summer China Study Trip for KY High School Students
The UK Confucius Institute is pleased to announce the 2014 Summer China Trip for Kentucky High school students — a 14-day study tour of China hosted by the UK Confucius Institute and designed to help High School students to expand their Chinese language and culture experiences.
Since this trip is sponsored and subsidized by the UK Confucius Institute, the accepted participants will receive special scholarship to cover all expenses within China (meals, accommodation, inter-city transportation by air or train, admissions to cultural and historical sites, tuition for studying at Shanghai University, local transportation, airport pick up). Participants will bear the responsibility for international round trip airfare and Visa application fee.
This trip has been a great success both years since its inauguration. Please see the comments below from some of our past participants:
"Going to school in Xi'an was one of the coolest things I have ever done because I got to see how people my age live. All the students were very nice and by the first day I felt at home sitting in class with the students." –Kellye, 2013 Participant
"The experience was more than I could have asked for. Not just touring the country, but with other students like myself from other parts of Kentucky was eye-opening. The trip was truly amazing and I've learned so much about the world and myself. With this, the future is looking a lot brighter and I'm excited to start my senior year!" –Kyle, 2013 Participant
