Chinese Cultural and Language Camps
The UK Confucius Institute offers a one week Chinese Language and Culture Camp during spring break, April 1-5, 2013.  Throughout the program, students are taught simple Chinese language and take a part in a variety of cultural activities. Professional Development
The Confucius Institute offers numerous professional development experiences. First, there is a year-long, 60 minute Chinese language course that takes place two evenings a week. The Business Chinese course takes place in White Hall Classroom Building room 203, Mon and Wed 7:00 p.m. to 7:50 p.m. Another course offered is Business Etiquette in China which is a 90 minute seminar on how to do business in China and how to deal with Chinese business people. High School China Tour
The UK Confucius Institute is pleased to announce the 2013 Summer China Trip for Kentucky high school students from June 6 to June 20, 2013. This trip is a 14 day study tour of China and is designed to help students expand their Chinese language and cultural experiences. There is a scholarship provided for each participant that covers all the expenses within China. Participants must pay the visa application fee and roundtrip airfare. Click here for more information.

Administrators’ China Trip
This program is designed to help the participant expand their Chinese language and cultural programs. The trip is sponsored by the UK Confucius Institute and all expenses within China are paid for. The participants must pay for the visa application fee and their international round trip airfare. Click here for more information.

Chinese Proficiency Competition
The competition consists of three parts: Speech, Q&A (only for the high school level), and Cultural Performance. The winner from the high school competition will go on to the next round in Washington, DC. Click here for more information.

AP Chinese Resources
The AP Chinese Language and Culture course is designed to be comparable to fourth semester college/university courses in Mandarin Chinese. These AP courses deepen the students’ immersion into the Chinese language and culture and prepare students to demonstrate their level of Chinese proficiency. Click here for more information.

American Students Chinese Summer Camp - in China
The “Learning Chinese Language, Experiencing Chinese Culture” summer camp is hosted by the Confucius Institute Headquarters and is organized by Beijing International Chinese College (BIIC). The two week program consists of intensive courses where campers will improve their spoken Chinese language and experience China through rich and colorful cultural experience courses.
