At the UK Confucius Institute, we understand how important it is for our Chinese teachers to stay abreast with the new ideas, new developments and best practices in the classrooms. In light of this, we hold yearly routine Professional Development Workshops to help our CI teachers and Kentucky local teachers to improve and grow in their teaching. We offer 8-10 Professional Development Workshops each year. Our workshops focus on Chinese teaching pedagogy, new developments and ideas in education and classroom management. Previous presenters include Dr. Mimi Met, Dr. Jianghua Bai, Dr. Henry Ruan, to name a few.
In addition to Chinese teachers PD workshops, we will hold Professional Development Workshops for Kentucky's Social Studies teachers on how to teach about China. Click here for more information.
