University of Kentucky in partnership with Arcadia University offers you Celtic Blue, a unique education abroad experience in Ireland or Scotland. Students may explore the magical scenery, rich culture and rugged landscapes of these fascinating countries. Additionally, students may take courses for a semester, the summer or an internship in the mystical celtic lands that have such close connections with Appalachian roots through participation in a UK Celtic Blue program.
Students with a minimum 3.0 GPA may apply to the following Celtic Blue programs:

Students may also earn a Co-Curricular Learning Certificate (CLC) while participating on a Celtic Blue program. A certificate’s theme may include topics of history or politics, art, language, sports and recreation or other motives. Through engagement in related activities, the CLC helps students reflect on their experiences as related to the certificate’s theme and to Kentucky and Appalachian Culture. In addition to earning the CLC, students may also have the opportunity to be published in Arcadia University’s Impact Magazine.
In addition to other education abroad scholarship opportunities, Arcadia University offers awards up to $1,000 for Celtic Blue programs.
