Certificate of Global Studies
The Undergraduate Certificate of Global Studies at the University of Kentucky demonstrates your commitment to participating in a global community. UK's undergraduate certificate programs encourage students to create their own curriculum by choosing courses from many disciplines that will serve a common goal. These programs are different from traditional degree programs. For instance, an undergraduate certificate program pulls courses together from a variety of disciplines in order to form a coherent theme, or an undergraduate certificate program may offer classes that all focus on a specific academic or technical field. At UK, students choosing to pursue undergraduate certificate programs are concurrently working on a traditional undergraduate degree.
Having an undergraduate certificate in a particular field may benefit students when searching for employment or moving on to graduate school. A certificate can show a potential employer or graduate program's faculty a specific expertise that a UK graduate brings with them to their new career.
The Undergraduate Certificate of Global Studies recognizes:
your international experience,
your language study,
your globally focused coursework, and,
your international engagement.
