What I studied while abroad: Cultivating intercultural competence through service-learning


Favorite memory from my experience abroad: I would have to say my top three memories would be: going to the beach in Cadiz with friends (we all went “on our own”, so that was a feat for us), walking on original ancient Roman streets in the ruins of Baelo Claudia, and last but not least, going to the southernmost tip of Europe (in Spain) and looking at Africa (Morocco). The idea that I was looking at one continent from another was amazing, humbling to say the least, and beautiful too.
