Nick was born and raised in small town Ohio and spent the following six years in Florida. There he obtained his BS, focusing on Anthropology and Political Science, and his MA in Higher Education Administration with an emphasis in Student Affairs, both at Florida State University. Nick's love for International Education started at FSU and was solidified when he spent a summer in San Jose, Costa Rica with ISA to learn the language and way of life. Whether it was rappelling down waterfalls in the rainforest or immersing himself in a new and exciting culture, he soon realized his passion. Nick now works in the campus-based ISA Kentucky Office right in Bradley Hall. There he speaks with UK students interested in ISA education abroad opportunities, liaises with faculty to assist in creating UK Sponsored programs(with the help of his fantastic Austin and overseas colleagues and the Education Abroad team, of course), and collaborates on projects with EA at UK.
Nick also traverses campus and local Kentucky schools to spread the word about the life-changing experiences he had abroad in hope that students take full advantage of these opportunities. In his free time Nick enjoys cycling, gardening, and working on cars. He has traveled to Costa Rica, Spain, Peru, Italy, Portugal, The Netherlands, England, France, Belgium, Canada, China, Korea, Chile, Argentina, Scotland, South Africa, and Ecuador.
