Each year, SIT awards more than $1 million in scholarships and grants to SIT Study Abroad students. SIT Study Abroad supports international opportunities for a wide range of students through its scholarship and grant programs. SIT Public Health
SIT and the College of Public Health have teamed up to create (4) $5,000 scholarships.
To be elegible, you must be a College of Public Health student accepted into a SIT Argentina, South Africa or Switzerland spring 2016 program. The deadline to apply is November 1st.
Access Africa Scholarships for Spring 2016
SIT will award eight $10,000 scholarships for students who are specifically interested in contemporary Africa, but who face significant financial barriers in making this possible and so may not even have considered applying. Recipients of the scholarship would still be eligible for other SITscholarships, including the Pell Grant Match. SIT has new funds available for students from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) member institutions, SEO scholars and/or Bonner Scholars & Bonner Leaders programs for spring 2016 programs in the Africa, South of the Sahara portfolio.
New Horizons Grants
SIT is offering New Horizons grants to students who participate in SIT's new summer 2016 and fall 2016 programs. The amounts of the New Horizons grants are $1,500 for a new summer program and $2,500 for a new semester program. These are available to students who demonstrate any need and will be awarded in addition to other SIT awards, including the Pell Grant Match.
