It's Not Too Late: Study Abroad this Summer or Fall

 

Though program application deadlines are quickly approaching, students may still find it possible to study abroad this summer or fall.  Of the various programs still accepting applications, here is a select list of summer and fall programs:

Summer Programs

  • First Adventures in a Global Marketplace
    This program will provide students with the fundamental principles and practical skill-sets to understand the diverse cultures that comprise the global marketplace of the 21st century.  This program is open to all students.  Participants will earn four credit hours: COM 390 (3 hours) & ISP 599 (1 hour)
  • Mountains to Coast: Field Studies in Costa Rica
    Students will take a hands-on, field-oriented approach to studying the wildlife, water, plants and varied ecosystems of Costa Rica.  This program is open to all students.  Students will earn four credit hours:  NRE 320 (3 hours) & ISP 599 (1 hour)
  • Nursing and Pre-Health in Northern Ireland
    At the University of Ulster, students will take courses taught by biomedical sciences faculty. This program is open to all students.  Participants will earn transfer coursework equivalent to DHN 212 (formerly NFS 212): Introductory Nutriion and BIO 208 with lab credit: Principles of Microbiology (the lab credit is NOT equivalent to BIO 209)
  • Paris Noire: African American Literature & Culture in Paris 
    This program explores the impact of African American arts, letters, and culture on Paris France.  This program is open to all students.  Participants will earn four to seven credit hours: ENG 370 (3 hours), ISP 599 (1 hour) and may arrange up to 3 credit hours of independent study in either ENG or AAS.

Fall Programs

  • Florence University of the Arts with UK Partner SAI
    This program offers a variety of courses in Liberal Arts, Visual Arts, Environmental Studies, Buesiness and Science.  This program is open to all students.
  • The Hong Kong Institute of Education (a UK Exchange program)
    This exchange program is open to all students.  The College of Fine Arts is offering two $1,500 scholarships to participants on this program.  To see a list of fall courses, click here.  
  • London South Bank University with UK Partner KEI
    This program offers a variety of courses from Psychology to Journalism and Hospitality to Mathematics. Participants will be awarded an automatic $1,000 scholarship. 
  • Griffith College Dublin with UK Partner KEI 
    This program offers a variety of courses from Interior Design to Computer Science and more.  Participants will be awarded an automatic $1,000 scholarship.
