Maintain Tableau Desktop Licenses

Problem

When opening Tableau Desktop, you receive a message like:

 

Cause

Maintenance on your Tableau Desktop license is about to expire or the software hasn't registered that your maintenance has been renewed.

 

Solution

  1. In Tableau Desktop, open any workbook and navigate to the Help tab.
  2. Click Manage Product Keys.
  3. In the dialog box, click on the product key for which your computer is registered and click Refresh . If you have renewed maintenance for the upcoming year, the Maintenance Expires date should update after the refresh and you should no longer receive notification of license expiration.
