What services do you and your teammates provide to campus?

Our team is creating an online degree completion program to offer students across the Commonwealth the opportunity to complete a bachelor’s degree program. The B.A. in Information Studies will initially target and market toward students who have a minimum of 60 earned credit hours from UK (or any Kentucky institute of higher education) but have since discontinued their studies. The program will benefit citizens of the Commonwealth by teaching strategies for changing information flows; eliciting new or hard-to-gather information; making information accessible; and aggregating, presenting, and analyzing information. To learn more about this exciting new opportunity, click here

Tell us about your collaboration with ITS and the ITS services that the College utilizes:

Our program and my position are funded through an eLII grant coordinated by the Office of the Provost, Information Technology Services (ITS) and the Center for the Enhancement of Learning and Teaching (CELT).  My colleagues and I have used the eLearning staff as a resource for using new technology and instructional design.  The eLearning staff assist with reviewing syllabi and course info, provide tips for Canvas and give feedback on development and design of our online courses.
