Known Issues with Apple iOS 6.1 and Outlook Calenders


Apple customers that have upgraded their device to iOS 6.1 will experience syncing issues with their Outlook Calendar. Users who have upgraded to iOS 6.1 will have “read-only” access to their calendars on their mobile device. Which means users will not be able to update or add new meetings from their iPhone or iPad during this time. Email will continue to flow as normal. At this time, UK STRONGLY advises users against upgrading to iOS 6.1, or any newer iOS (6.1.1).

A temporary measure has been taken to prevent possible impact to other Exchange users. This temporary measure will be removed once the issue has been resolved by Apple and Microsoft. Updates will be posted on the UKIT Facebook page and on Twitter (@UKITStatus), as well as on the Service Desk webpage.
