Cynthia serves as Associate Dean for Workforce Development and Community Engagement at the University of Kentucky College of Public Health. She is also Co-Director of the Kentucky Public Health Institute, Director of the Kentucky Public Health Leadership Institute, Director of the Kentucky and Appalachia Public Health Training Center and Co-PI of the National Coordinating Center for Public Health Systems and Services Research. She is currently on the Board of the Public Health Leadership Society. She is past Chair of the National Public Health Leadership Development Network and currently serves as President Elect for Delta Omega Public Health Honor Society. Ms. Lamberth has over thirty years experience in the Public Health and Human Resource fields including positions in academia, consulting, high tech, and utility industries.

Erin serves as the Director of Workforce Development at the University of Kentucky, College of Public Health.  Erin also serves as the Assistant Director of the Kentucky Public Health Leadership Institute and Program Manager of the Kentucky and Appalachia Public Health Training Center. Through her work with these programs at the University of Kentucky, she has helped develop, implement, and facilitate various leadership and training programs for the public health workforce in Kentucky. These programs focus on quality improvement, accreditation readiness, and community engagement.  She received her B.S. in Health Promotion from Appalachian State University in Boone, NC, in 2005, and her M.P.H. from the University of Kentucky, College of Public Health in 2007. Erin is a charter class member of the CPH Certification. She is an alumni member of the Delta Omega Society Beta Gamma Chapter.  She serves as a member of the executive committee of the National Public Health Leadership Development Network and is also Chair-Elect of the ASPH Continuing Professional Education Council.  

Angela Carman, Dr.P.H.

Angela Carman, is an assistant professor at the University of Kentucky, College of Public Health, in Health Services Management, and facilitator/trainer with the Kentucky and Appalachia Public Health Training Center.   Through her work with KAPHTC,  she has helped develop, implement, and facilitate various leadership and training programs featuring accreditation readiness, focusing on community health assessment and community health improvement planning, quality improvement, and community engagement. Dr. Carman has over 20 years’ experience in healthcare administration and public health including serving as CEO of a critical-access hospital in Berea, Kentucky.  She received her B.S. in Business Administration from Berea College, MBA from Eastern Kentucky University and DrPH from the University of Kentucky, College of Public Health.  She is certified as a Human Resources Professional by the Society of Human Resources Management, certified as a Healthcare Executive by the American College of Healthcare Executives and certified as a Quality Improvement Associate by the American Society for Quality.  Dr. Carman is also a member of the Delta Omega Society Beta Gamma Chapter.

Evelyn A. Knight, Ph.D.

Evelyn holds a bachelor of arts degree from Wake Forest University and a master of arts degree from the School of International Service at the American University.  She earned her Ph.D. in Health Education from the University of Maryland in 1984. She has served on the faculties of the University of Virginia, East Carolina University,and East Tennessee State University where she prepared community health specialists.  She retired from the University of Kentucky in 2012, where she served as director of the Appalachian Center.  Dr. Knight continues to provide program planning and evaluation support to variety of community building and health promotion/disease prevention initiatives.  She has a special interest in participatory processes and whole systems change.

Lava Timsina, M.P.H.

Lava is a Graduate Research Assistant and is helping in statistical consultations and data analysis in different projects at the Center for Public Health Systems and Services Research at the University of Kentucky. He helped in 2012 Kentucky Public Health Workforce Assessment. Mr. Timsina is pursuing his PhD program in Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the University of Kentucky. He received a Master's Degree in Public Health with a concentration in epidemiology from the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
