Meet the Buyer Forum
MarketReady's Meet the Buyer Forum is a great opportunity for Graduates of the training to dive in and start making business relationships. Producers are given the chance to showcase or just discuss their products with a variety of buyers in an informal environment. This allows them to gain insight and build relationships with a large number of buyers in a short span of time. The forum is a great opportunity for new producers to make their final step into the market and onto the shelves of buyer as well as giving veteran producers the chance to make additional connections with other buyers. The forum was structured to help producers gain insider access to buyers giving them a perspective like no other.
The forum will be held from 10:00am - 4:00pm at the Kentucky Farm Bureau Headquarters in Louisville, KY and will have a range of buyers from various markets in attendance. Admission is $20.00 and will cover resource materials, lunch and refreshments.
A panel of buyers assembled with local and regional buyers and technical support professionals will be assembled to answer questions before producers are free to meet with buyers. The forum includes information about KDA (the Kentucky Department of Agriculture) programs as well as resources from other state and federal agencies like Kentucky Center for Agriculture and Rural Development, Local Health departments and the Food Systems Innovation Center.
