The MarketReady Producer Training Program is for beginning and existing producers and processors interested in selling products to restaurants, grocers, wholesalers, retailers and schools. MarketReady will provide you with professional marketing education to improve sales relationships and get you up to speed with the latest local food programsresources and safety regulations. This national program, developed by the University of Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service, will provide you with the tools for business success.

Many farmers and food entrepreneurs are hesitant or unprepared to meet the requirements that buyers from have for their suppliers. Buyers need their suppliers to manage their own food safetyinsuranceproduct qualitytraceability risks, and much more. MarketReady addresses these issues and seeks to educate our fabulous food suppliers about how to succeed in today's markets. The training is based around best business practices identified by buyers in these markets that are actively seeking to engage local suppliers. MarketReady will help vendors selling dairy, fruits, meats, vegetables and value-added products create a successful business strategy.


Who should attend: Beginning and existing farmers and food entrepreneurs.

Registration: Admission is $10 and lunch will be provided on site. Pre-registration is required by January 30th. Space is limited to 25 participants.
