How to Participate
The Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government and University of Kentucky will co-sponsor of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday Commemoration on Monday, January 15, 2018 at Lexington Center Heritage Hall. This celebration and annual day of events is one where so many participate and support. The Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday Planning Committee highly encourage the community to participate in these scheduled events, and to become involved in activities that commemorate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Please advise the planning committee in advance, if special accommodations are necessary for the march or the program.

Join us for the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday Freedom March
On January 15, 2018 the Martin Luther King, Jr. Freedom March departs from downtown Lexington Center Heritage Hall on West Main Street at 10:00 a.m. Line up for the Freedom March begins at 9:00 a.m. in the corridor of Heritage Hall and continues until 10:00 a.m.

- Attend the FREE Commemorative Holiday Program at 11:00 a.m. The Commemorative Program begins at 11:00am in Lexington Center Heritage Halls East and Center. This year's special keynote presenter is American anti-racism activist and writer, Mr. Tim Wise.
