Tammy Courtney MSN, RN, CNE
Tammy Courtney received her ADN from Midway College in 1984. In 2013 she completed her BSN at Indiana Wesleyan University and two years later finished her master’s degree in nursing education from the same university. She began her career in adult acute care on an orthopedic/neurology unit and later moved to an intensive care unit, where she spent the next twelve years. Her love of the pediatric population began in 1996 when she moved to pediatric acute care where she stayed for the remainder of her bedside nursing career. She came to the University of Kentucky in 2013 and in 2015 began serving full time in the Clinical Simulation and Learning Center. She now teaches the lab skills portion of NUR 201: Assessment and Health Promotion Across the Lifespan.
