Nancy Kloha DNP, APRN, FNP-BC
Nancy Kloha received a B.S. in Nursing in 1975 from the University of Evansville. In 1977 she received a M.S. in Nursing Care of Children and a Specialist Degree in Primary Care of Adults and Children from Indiana University. She is certified ANCC as a Family Nurse Practitioner. In 2011 she received a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from the University of Kentucky.
Kloha has worked in the pediatric ICU and medical primary care clinics at Children's Hospital Medical Center in Cincinnati. She taught nursing at Minot State College in North Dakota and worked as an FNP for Carle Clinic Association in Urbana, IL. Since 1990, she has lived in Ashland, Ky., where she worked for the Fivco District Health Department as an FNP until 2001. In 1996, she began a clinical teaching role for UKCON’s Family Nurse Practitioner Track (master's program) at the Morehead outreach site. Her current clinical practice site is with the Lawrence County Health Department, where she does family planning services, treats STI’s, and does school, employment and well-child physicals. She also works as an FNP for the UKCON’s clinic in Wilmore, KY.
Kloha served as the ARNP representative on the Kentucky Board of Nursing from 1995-98. Since 2001, she has been an on-site evaluator for the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education accreditation process. She is active in the Kentucky Coalition of Nurse Practitioners and Nurse Midwives. In 1997 she received the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Award for Nurse Practitioner of the Year for Kentucky.
