Apply online at https://nursingcas.liaisoncas.com/applicant-ux/#/login from October 1, 2018, to March 1, 2019. We strongly encourage you to start early so the process is complete by March 1.
Do not apply directly to UK. Nursing CAS replaces the UK and the College of Nursing applications. When you log in to NursingCAS, you will create an account and manage your application through its portal. Use Mozilla Firefox as your browser to have the most successful interaction with the website.
On the NursingCAS website, review the information under the tab "Before You Apply." The process has multiple steps, and all must be completed for your application to be considered. Allow a minimum of four weeks for NursingCAS to process the entire application. References are NOT required. A personal statement is optional.
If you have transcripts under a name different from the name you are using on your application, please have the sending institution change your name to match the application. Many transcripts are lost because they do not match to any name in the system.
Any questions regarding your application or receipt of documents should be directed to the support team at NursingCAS at (617) 612-2880 or email@example.com. The UK College of Nursing does not have access to monitor your application during the process.
Do not apply to UK for admission for the Second Degree Option. We will only review applications that come through NursingCAS.
March 1 for fall semester
Watch this page for specific dates. Students who do not complete an interview will not be admitted. Applicants are selected for interviews after an initial screening of their applications and transcripts.
Notifications for Interviews and Final Admission Decisions
Applicants selected for an interview will be notified by email. Those not selected for an interview will also be notified.
Final decisions will be made within two weeks after interviews are completed. Letters are mailed via regular mail, and all students who are interviewed receive a letter. Please be sure all contact information is correct on the application forms.
The TOEFL, administered online, is required of all applicants for whom English is not their native language. Minimum scores accepted are: Cumulative – 90; Speaking – 26; Listening – 22; Writing – 20; Reading – 22. You must submit this TOEFL score directly to the College of Nursing in addition to completing the NursingCAS application. If your degree is from a foreign institution, you must submit an evaluation by WES or one of the other admission services.
