Article VI: Executive Committee

ARTICLE VI: -- EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

SECTION 1: The Executive Committee shall consist of the following officers:
 

  1. Events Chair
  2. Fundraising Chair
  3. Marketing Chair
  4. Recruitment Chair
  5. Social Media Chair

 
SECTION 2: Members of the Executive Committee must be full-time students at the University of Kentucky, and shall maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.00. All Candidates must have completed one academic semester by the end of the semester in which they accept the position.
 
SECTION 3: The Executive Committee shall be appointed by the OCSA President with the advice of the Adviser(s) and consent of the GA in the spring semester.
 
SECTION 4: All EC Officers shall:

  1. Uphold and know all aspects of the OCSA Constitution and its By-Laws.
  2. Attend and actively participate in all GA, OCSA events, and EC meetings, except in the case of a University-approved excuse given to the Advisor(s).
  3. Receive Advisor(s) approval if you are going to miss any GA meetings, OCSA events, and EC meetings for reasons not covered under the University-approved excuse.
  4. Perform other duties as may be assigned to their individual offices by the GA, the OCSA President or Adviser(s)
  5. Assist in administering elections, events, retreats, and workshops for OCSA.
  6. Each EC member must maintain three office hours every week.
  7. Be held accountable for working to carry out the purpose of OCSA and maintaining the greater good of the organization.

 
SECTION 5: The duties of the Events Chair shall be:
 
Act as the official representative of OCSA Events Committee.

  1. Shall Report to the OCSA Vice President
  2. Shall Report to the Executive Committee and the GA of any updates and changes to events.
  3. Preside over all meetings of the Events Committee.
  4. Take an active role with the Adviser(s) in supporting and ensuring all OCSA programs, retreats, workshops, and trainings for OCSA are organized and executed in an efficient manner.
  5. Shall actively recruit for members of OCSA Events Committee.
  6. Work in conjuncture with the Executive Assistant and Advisor(s) to maintain all event budgets.
  7. Work in Conjuncture with the Marketing and Social Media Chairs to promote all events.

 
SECTION 6: The duties of the Fundraising Chair
 
Act as the official representative of OCSA Fundraising Committee.

  1. Shall Report to the OCSA Vice President
  2. Shall Report to the Executive Committee and the GA of any updates and changes to events.
  3. Preside over all meetings of the Fundraising Committee.
  4. Take an active role with the Adviser(s) in supporting and ensuring all OCSA programs, retreats, workshops, and trainings for OCSA are organized and executed in an efficient manner.
  5. Work in conjuncture with the Recruitment Chair to actively recruit for members of OCSA Fundraising Committee.
  6. Work in conjuncture with the Executive Assistant and Advisor(s) to maintain all funds acquired through fundraising.
  7. Work in Conjuncture with the Marketing and Social Media Chairs to promote all fundraising efforts.

 
SECTION 7: The duties of the Marketing Chair
 
Act as the official representative of OCSA Marketing Committee.

  1. Shall Report to the OCSA Vice President
  2. Shall Report to the Executive Committee and the GA of any updates and changes to marketing.
  3. Preside over all meetings of the Marketing Committee.
  4. Take an active role with the Adviser(s) in supporting and ensuring all OCSA programs, retreats, workshops, and trainings for OCSA are organized and executed in an efficient manner.
  5. Work in conjuncture with the Recruitment Chair to actively recruit for members of OCSA Marketing Committee.
  6. Work in conjuncture with the Executive Assistant and Advisor(s) to maintain the OCSA marketing budget.
  7. Work in Conjuncture with the Social Media Chair to promote all marketing efforts.

 
SECTION 8: The duties of the Recruitment Chair
 
Act as the official representative of OCSA Recruitment Committee.

  1. Shall Report to the OCSA Vice President
  2. Shall Report to the Executive Committee and the GA of any updates and changes to recruitment.
  3. Preside over all meetings of the Recruitment Committee.
  4. Take an active role with the Adviser(s) in supporting and ensuring all OCSA programs, retreats, workshops, and trainings for OCSA are organized and executed in an efficient manner.
  5. Work in Conjuncture with the Marketing and Social Media Chairs to promote all recruitment efforts.

 
SECTION 9: The duties of the Social Media Chair
 
Act as the official representative of OCSA Social Media.

  1. Shall Report to the OCSA Vice President
  2. Shall Report to the Executive Committee and the GA of any updates and changes to Social Media.
  3. Take an active role with the Adviser(s) in supporting and ensuring all OCSA programs, retreats, workshops, and trainings for OCSA are organized and executed in an efficient manner.
  4. Work in conjuncture with the Executive Assistant and Advisor(s) to maintain the OCSA social media budget.
  5. Work in Conjuncture with the Marketing Chair to promote all OCSA programs, retreats, workshops, and trainings.
  6. Maintain all technological aspects of OCSA including but not limited to maintenance of list serves, Google App account, Facebook and Twitter accounts, etc.
  7. Coordinate with the EB and Advisor(s) on all press releases to the campus media.
  8. Maintain the OCSA logo.
