Reporting a Safety Issue

The university community can report safety issues in many different ways. Below is a list of a few options.

  • Call 911 for emergencies
  • UK-LiveSafe with the LiveSafe App "Through iPhone and Android devices, students can report GPS-tagged information with added pictures, video, and audio clips. 
  • Call 257-8573 to report non-emergencies

  • Anonymous tips through Bluegrass Crime Stoppers 1-877-970-2020
  • Text-a-Tip, is a tool for citizens to anonymously submit crime-related information. Anyone with information about a suspect or an incident can text to CRIMES (274637) and in the body type LEXPD followed by the tip.
  • Call 1-866-393-6659 (1-866-eye-onky) 

You can also contact the Student Governent Safety Director to discuss safety issues or concerns that are not an immediate crises such as lighting, over grown brush, sidewalks, etc.
