Off-Campus Student Association

The Off-Campus Student Association is a registered student organized association dedicated to help all students that live off-campus to build connections within the campus and Lexington community.

Through planning social events and by providing a platform for students to discuss off-campus specific issues and related topics, the OCSA works to enhance the off-campus student experience!

Mission:

To serve as an active voice and an advocate for students that live off-campus in order to establish a partnership with the UK off-campus student body, UK campus community and Lexington community while providing and promoting a home away from home for all UK off-campus students.

 

Learning Outcomes:

  • Identify and utilize appropriate campus resources to assist in academic and personal success 
  • Establish meaningful relationships with peers, faculty, and administrators through participation in co-curricular campus events and programs 
  • Develop a comprehensive set of practical skills and tools such as time management, agenda setting, group dynamics, team building and program planning
  • Demonstrate the ability to identify areas for improvement in the off-campus student experience and develop and implement plans for positive change

Fall Training:
All officers and chairs would need to be availble August 15 to August 17 for leadership training and K Week K Crew requirements August 18 to August 22, 2017.

Off-Campus Student Association Leadership 2017-2018

Executive Branch Officers:
President will provide guidance and leadership for the success of the organization- Paige Dauparas

Vice President will provide support through his/her duties to all members of the organization- John Spencer

Executive Coordinator will provide guidance and management for all administrative facets of the organization- Alex Wood

Community Ambassadors 


Executive Committee Officers:
Marketing Chair will provide support and guidance in the areas of marketing for the organization- Kenzie Adamski

Social Media Chair will provide support and guidance in the areas of social media and website management for the organization- Valerie Rowe

Events Chair will provide support and guidance on all events for the organization- Felicia Filarski

Recruitment Chairs will provide support and guidance in the areas of recruitment for the organization- Darian Parker and Angel Sandoval Cerrato

Fundraising Chair will provide support and guidance on all fundraising for the organization- Rachel Kreppert

February 26 to March 2, 2018- Officer Elections
March 5 to March 9, 2018- Committee Chair Interviewed
March 12 to March 17, 2018- Spring Break
March 19 to April 27, 2018- Officer and Chair Shadow
April 30 to May 4, 2018- Change of Officer and Chair

Requirements of Positions:
All officers must be available for Leadership Training, K Week Training, and K week Events each August. Officers will be K Crew Members for Off-Campus Students.
