Jevincio Tooson, a sophomore dietetics major from Mount Sterling, Kentucky, credits his academic and personal success at UK to the tremendous support of the scholarship which allows him to focus more on his studies and campus involvement and less on financial concerns. With an outstanding 4.0 cumulative GPA, which he considers to be his greatest achievement in the past year, Jevincio is very active in extracurricular activities as a member of the Student Dietetic & Nutrition Association, Wildcat Student Ambassadors and Greenthumb.
“I probably wouldn’t be at the University of Kentucky without the scholarship assistance I’m receiving,” says Mac Hall, a freshman civil engineering major from Pikeville, Kentucky.
“And I’ve always wanted to go to UK,” he continues. “It’s a family tradition. My aunt attended classes at the University, and my grandfather graduated from UK 50 years ago.”
Mac has two older sisters and two younger brothers. His career goal is to specialize in environmental engineering and return to eastern Kentucky to do work focusing on water quality.
