On Wednesday, November 15, UK Philanthropy and Alumni Association professionals and others from across UK's campus will be recognized at the annual Terry B. Mobley Awards celebration. Recipients can be nominated by deans, associate deans, full-time faculty, UK Philanthropy and UK Alumni Association staff, college or unit philanthropy or alumni staff, students and support staff for excellence in furthering UK's philanthropic efforts.
The awards are designed to honor the extraordinary development career of Terry B. Mobley by recognizing and rewarding staff who have demonstrated outstanding performance and professional achievement. Mobley served the university for 27 years as chief development officer and retired as Vice President for Institutional Advancement.
Awards are presented in the following categories:
Professional Achievement Award – for a professional staff member who has a UK Philanthropy or UK Alumni Association tenure of five or more years.
Rising Achievement Award – for a professional staff member who has a UK Philanthropy or UK Alumni Association tenure of less than five years.
Front Line Award – up to two awards in this category will be presented to support staff members – one from UK Philanthropy or the UK Alumni Association and one from the colleges or units.
Philanthropy Service Award – for a UK senior professional, administrator or faculty member (such as a Dean or Center director) who has demonstrated extraordinary service in advancing UK philanthropic goals and isn’t a full-time
fundraising or alumni professional.
Creativity, stewardship, teamwork, service, professionalism, leadership and philanthropy-related activities and events are criteria to be considered in making nominations. Additional information can be found in the Terry B. Mobley Award Guidelines.
