Connecting STEM Education Across the Bluegrass
The Second Annual STEM Education Conference at the University of Kentucky will focus on STEM research, teaching and learning, and engagement with goals of generating new partnerships and collaboration across the STEM disciplines. Faculty, K-12 educators, and STEM undergraduate and graduate students are encouraged to present STEM Education related research or experiences.
Supported by University of Kentucky Colleges of Agriculture, Education, Engineering, Arts and Sciences, Communication, Medicine, the Office of the Vice President for Research and PIMSER.

Keynote Speaker: David Burns, Ohio STEM Learning Network (OSLN)
“The Role of Networks in STEM Innovation”
David L. Burns is the Director of Operations for the Ohio STEM Learning Network (OSLN) where he has focused on the start-up and implementation of five statewide STEM platform schools ensuring creativity and innovation in school design. His work involves integrating multiple funding resources to ensure long-term stability of STEM projects. Burns also is working to establish a national STEM network supported by the Battelle Memorial Institute and the Gates Foundation.

Directions and Parking
Traveling South on I-64 or I-75
NOTE (I-64 and I-75 merge just south of Georgetown, Ky.)
Follow I-64 or I-75 South to Exit 113 (marked Paris/Lexington). Turn right off the exit ramp onto North Broadway (US 68). Follow through downtown for 3 miles. One block past the Hyatt Regency Hotel, turn left at the light onto Maxwell Street. Turn right onto South Upper Street. Turn right onto Scott Street and follow the signs to the Symposium Parking in the Scott Street Lot.
Traveling South and Southwest on Bluegrass Parkway
Follow the Bluegrass Parkway to Lexington. Turn right off the ramp onto Route 60 (Versailles Road). Follow until it becomes a one-way street, West Maxwell. Turn right onto South Upper Street. Turn right onto Scott Street and follow the signs to the Symposium Parking in the Scott Street Lot.
Traveling North on I-75
Follow I-75 North to Exit 104 (marked Athens/Lexington). Turn left off of the ramp onto Athens-Boonesboro Road. Follow for 8.3 miles to downtown. Turn left onto South Upper Street. Turn right onto Scott Street and follow the signs to the Symposium Parking in the Scott Street Lot.

The fee for early conference registration (through April 11) is as follows:
Students - $10
All others - $35
Late Registration: On or after April 12, the fee for all non-students will increase to $50.
