2. That is a long list of schools. What are the school districts that are not eligible? School Districts NOT Eligible: Private Schools, Anchorage Independent, Anderson County, Beechwood Independent, Bracken County, Burgin Independent, Fort Thomas Independent, Glasgow Independent, Murray Independent, Oldham County, Pikeville Independent, Raceland Worthington Independent, Russell Independent, Science Hill Independent, Simpson County, Southgate Independent, Walton Verona Independent, and Williamstown Independent 3. How long do I have to fulfill my teaching obligation? You have six years after you receive your certification to fulfill your teaching obligation at one of the above school districts. 4. What schools in the school districts listed above are eligible? Any of the schools in the above school districts are eligible. Your certificate will be for grades 8 - 12, so you have the option at teaching 8th grade at a middle school if you wish. If you get a middle school extension in your subject area (math or science), you may teach at the indicated grade levels on your certificate.
