Teacher Education Initiatives

PIMSER sponsors specialized opportunities in Math/Science Pre-Service Teacher Education. One such example is the UK-NOYCE (New Opportunities Yielding Classroom Excellence) Fellows Program for middle and secondary education future math and science teachers.

The University of Kentucky offers three programs for Teacher Education Initiatives leading to certification: Elementary Education, Middle Grades Education, and Master's with Initial Certification. The Master's with Initial Certification is currently the only route to secondary math and/or science certification offered by the University of Kentucky. Please refer to the following websites for more information or contact Dr. Margaret Mohr (m.mohr@uky.edu) for more information.
