PISA is a system of international assessments that focus on 15-year-olds' capabilities in reading literacy, mathematics literacy, and science literacy. PISA is organized by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), an intergovernmental organization of industrialized countries.

Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study (TIMSS) http://nces.ed.gov/timss/index.asp
This study provides data on the mathematics and science achievement of U.S. students compared to that of students in other countries. TIMSS data has been collected in 1995, 1999, 2003, and 2007.
