Steam Line Upgrade to Impact Huguelet Drive

The eastbound lane of Huguelet Drive from beyond the entrance/exit of the Kentucky Clinic Parking Structure to Rose Street will be closed to through traffic to accommodate steam line upgrades, from Monday, June 6 until Friday, July 8. The westbound lane will remain open during this time.

Starting on Monday, July 11, and continuing through Friday, July 29, the westbound lane of the same portion of Huguelet Drive will be closed for steam line upgrades. The eastbound lane will remain open, but traffic will only be allowed to flow westbound during the remainder of the project.

Both closures will impact both vehicle and bicycle traffic. As always, construction work is weather-dependent and the timetable is subject to change.

MLK North E Lot Closing Changed to June 11-12

The closing of the MLK North E lot, originally slated for June 4 and 5, has been rescheduled for Saturday, June 11 and Sunday, June 12. The MLK North E lot (also known as the UK HealthCare Good Samaritan E Lot) will be closed for maintenance work, including paving and striping.

The project is scheduled to take two days. However, as always, construction is weather-dependent and the timetable is subject to change.

Employees who normally park in the impacted lot should allow extra time in arriving to work. Many parking areas in the vicinity will not controlled for permits due to the weekend nature of the work. Visit for a map of parking areas.

Members of the campus community are encouraged to tune into 1700 AM (WQKH 253) to hear campus parking and transportation information. The station broadcasts 24 hours, 7 days a week.
