Labor Day Bus Schedule Changes

Due to the Labor Day holiday, CATS buses and the Lextran Commonwealth Stadium Route will not operate on Monday, September 3. Additionally, the Kentucky Clinic Shuttle and Medical Center Shuttle will not run on Monday, September 3.

The On-Demand bus service will not operate on Sunday, September 2. However, PTS will be offering the On-Demand bus service Monday evening beginning at 7:00 p.m. and continuing until midnight.

Riders can view the location of all CATS buses on all routes by using Cat Tracker, a real-time GPS-based bus locating system. Visit You can also track the buses via the free Transloc iPhone, Android and BlackBerry apps, by using your smart phone to scan the QR codes found on each bus stop sign or by using the SMS codes found at each bus stop.

Online Permit Sales for Students End August 31

Friday, August 31 is the last day for students to purchase K or evening parking permits online or through the mail. Walk-in customers may purchase permits at Parking Structure #6, located at the corner of Press and Virginia Avenues, between 7:30 a.m. and 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Permits are required in all K and evening-controlled areas beginning Monday, September 10. The complete permit calendar can be found at The K permit is $248 for the academic year, while the evening permit is $120 for the academic year.

If your first choice of permit is no longer available, students meeting eligibility criteria may submit a lottery request online for C and R permits through the Parking Account Manager. Drawings are typically held two to three weeks after the beginning of the semester, and notification is sent to the student's email address.
