Student and Employee Parking on Football Game Days

With the kickoff of the home football season slated for tomorrow, Saturday, September 8, Parking & Transportation Services (PTS) would like to remind the UK community about parking policies on game days.

Students and employees who park at Commonwealth Stadium must move their vehicles before 9:00 a.m. on the days of home football games. The exception to this is University Drive, where no parking is permitted on game days. Failure to move any vehicle from the Stadium parking lots or University Drive could result in a citation and/or impoundment at the owner’s expense. This includes the K lots, the E parking in the Red and Blue lots, the C6 lot, the Soccer/Softball Complex and the K/E lot next to Greg Page Apartments. In addition to the E spaces on University Drive, anyone in motorcycle spaces or parked at meters must be moved.

Vehicles may be moved anytime after 3:30 p.m. on Friday, and must be moved back by 5:00 a.m. Monday.

See below for a map illustrating where to move your vehicle on home football game days.

Football Parking Reminders for Fans

Parking Structure #7 will be available for football parking. UK parking permits are not valid in this parking structure on days of home football games. Located on Sports Center Drive approximately three blocks from Commonwealth Stadium, the structure will be open for football parking four hours before kickoff. The cost is $20 per vehicle per game. PTS also offers several other parking facilities free of charge.

For more on PTS game day policies and parking options, as well as a schedule of home football games, visit www.uky.edu/pts/parking-info_football-game-day-parking. This page also includes information on the Lextran UK Football Express shuttles, which have several campus stops.

If you plan to attend the game, tune your radio to 1700 AM for game day parking and travel information.

Members of the campus community are encouraged to tune into 1700 AM (WQKH 253) to hear campus parking and transportation information. The station broadcasts 24 hours, 7 days a week.
