Big Blue Madness Ticket Distribution Campout Parking

As lines for Big Blue Madness ticket distribution begin later this week, Parking and Transportation Services would like to remind the campus community of the parking options available to Big Blue Madness ticket seekers.

Fans camping out for the Big Blue Madness ticket distribution may utilize the metered parking spaces and pull-off area adjacent to the Ticket Office while they are loading and unloading their vehicles. After unloading, campers must relocate their vehicles to the E/K overflow parking lot, located south of Alumni Drive across from Commonwealth Stadium, where free parking will be available.

Bus service will be available to transport fans back to Memorial Coliseum. Lextran buses serve this parking lot from 7 a.m. to 6:15 p.m. From 6 p.m. to midnight, the CATS Yellow Night Route will be in service. From midnight to 5 a.m., the CATS Bus On-Demand Service may be utilized by calling (859) 221-RIDE (7433). For more information, please visit

Beginning at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 21, the gates of Parking Structure #5, located on S. Limestone next to Kennedy Book Store, will be open and the structure will be available for free parking. The structure will remain open overnight; however, no camping or sleeping in vehicles is permitted. Cars must be removed by 4 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 22.

Two Disabled Spaces to be Blocked on Veterans Drive, Sept. 19-20

Due to maintenance to repair a transformer on Veterans Drive, two disabled parking spaces will be unavailable on Wednesday, Sept. 19 and Thursday, Sept. 20.

Anyone with a valid University disabled parking permit may park in other disabled parking areas on campus. Visit for a map of these areas. If you park in another disabled parking area and must use a campus shuttle, all CATS buses and Lextran campus buses are wheelchair accessible.

As always, construction is weather-dependent and the timetable is subject to change.

Members of the campus community are encouraged to tune into 1700 AM (WQKH 253) to hear campus parking and transportation information. The station broadcasts 24 hours, 7 days a week.
