Free Parking Options for Football Fan Day, August 9

University of Kentucky Football will be hosting their annual Fan Day event on Friday, August 9. The gates for the event will open at 6 p.m.

With the increased excitement around UK Football for the upcoming season, record attendance is expected. Free parking will be available in many lots surrounding Commonwealth Stadium, starting at 3 p.m. on Friday.

Those lots include the K Overflow lot, the Red, Blue and Green lots surrounding the Stadium, the Orange, Blue and Purple grass lots, the Red lot near Gluck Equine, the E.S. Goodbarn lot, the Tobacco Research lot and the Soccer/Softball Complex lot. Parking Structure #1 (corner of Cooper and University Drives) and Parking Structure #7 (corner of Sports Center and Complex Drives) will also be available free of charge. A map (PDF) can found on UK Athletics’ web site, here.

Members of the University community who park in these lots will not be required to relocate in support of this event. Both the CATS Summer Route and the Medical Center Route will continue to operate as normal.

Members of the campus community are encouraged to tune into 1700 AM (WQKH 253) to hear campus parking and transportation information. The station broadcasts 24 hours, 7 days a week.
