Hilltop Avenue Lane & Sidewalk Closure Set for March 8-9

Due to last weekend’s inclement weather, the planned construction work will occur this weekend on Haggin Hall. A portion of the south lane of Hilltop Avenue and the adjacent sidewalk will be closed to vehicle and pedestrian traffic on Saturday, March 8 and Sunday, March 9. The section of Hilltop Avenue between University Drive and Rose Street at the roundabout will be impacted. The Rose Street Garage (PS#2) will remain accessible.

Flagmen will assist with directing traffic. Pedestrians should use the north sidewalk in the construction area. Drivers and pedestrians are encouraged to use caution as they navigate the area.

The project is scheduled to conclude by Sunday, March 9; however, the work is weather-dependent and the timetable is subject to change.

Free Shuttle to Blue Grass Airport Offered March 13-14

Spring may not be in the air just yet, but Spring Break is rapidly approaching. The shuttle will run Thursday, March 13 and Friday, March 14, with daily campus pick-up times of 6 a.m., 8 a.m., 10 a.m., noon, 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Students should plan to leave campus at least two hours prior to their scheduled flight departure.

Although the shuttle is free, reservations are required. To schedule a pick-up, email ukparking@lsv.uky.edu with the subject “Spring Break Shuttle” at least 48 hours in advance (not including weekends) and provide the following information:

A representative from Parking and Transportation Services will confirm the pick-up time and location via email.

Please note, students are responsible for their own transportation back to campus.
