Construction Parking Impacts

South Campus Housing Project

With classes out for the summer, work has begun to demolish Cooperstown Apartments. New housing facilities (Woodland Glen I and II) will be built in the same location. This construction will impact parking in two ways.

First, with the elimination of Cooperstown as a residential living area and the subsequent demolition and construction work, the existing 265 residential parking spaces will be removed from the University of Kentucky parking inventory on Saturday, June 15.

Second, due to the relocation of the existing communications ductbank serving Cooperstown and the Oldham Court area, approximately 80 spaces int he large R3 parking lot will be unavailable from Friday, May 17 through Sunday, June 16.
