Changes for 2013-14 Permit Year

As previously announced, PTS will issue permits for a 15-month period (April 1, 2013 through June 30, 2014) during the 2013-2014 permit year in order to transition the employee permit cycle to the University’s fiscal year. The employee permit calendar change is designed to not only align the permit cycle with the fiscal year, which will allow financial decisions to be integrated into the university’s fiscal decision making during each budget cycle, but to more closely align the employee permit cycle to the student permit cycle and academic calendar.

Over the past two years, PTS has gradually been reducing the amount of paper waste associated with the employee and retiree permit renewal period. To further that mission, application cards will not be mailed to retirees or VA employees, as in previous years. However, printable application forms are available online (PDF) for those who cannot or would prefer not to utilize the online application process.
