Jess is a research associate in the College of Public Health’s Department of Health Behavior and is a research affiliate of the Institute for Workplace Innovation, iwin. She currently serves as the administrative principal investigator of the Thoroughbred Worker Health and Safety Study, a five-year, CDC-funded study aiming to improve the health and safety of workers on Thoroughbred farms.   She has worked in research project management for over six years, previously serving as the project manager for the Latino Farmworker Health and Safety Study at the University of Kentucky’s Institute for Workplace Innovation, iwin.  Jess received a Master’s of Public Health at the University of Kentucky, where she also earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and Spanish and minor in Anthropology.
