College of Public Health students graduating

Health Behavior and the Community Action Council help Head Start families

Lexington, Ky, – The UK College of Public Health's Department of Health Behavior selected Community Action Council, in Lexington, Kentucky to receive holiday gift baskets with gift cards, children's books and toys as a part of its December 2012 Holiday celebration. Thanks go to Lindsay Griffith, Development Manager for working with Dr. Linda Alexander to identify acceptable items for the Council's target population. The mission of the Community Action Council is to "Combat Poverty". Pictured here are Cheryl Weiss, Administrative Assistant, Division for Program Development and co-worker Mary, who assisted with gathering the donations. Head Start families and children were the designated recipients of the donated items.
