Alumnus, Lazarus Eze, MPH, is bringing public health programming to the air waves of Nigeria with a new radio program in the capital city of Abuja. The program, titled “TalkHealth9ja,” will air every Friday and has a potential reach of 2 million people. Mr. Eze is joined in the project by fellow alumna, Chioma Okafor, MPH, who assists with content development for the public health topics discussed on the broadcast.
In addition to his work in radio, Mr. Eze provides support to five states in Nigeria through the Global Fund Malaria project, where he works to strengthen data management systems. He is also actively involved in advocacy relating to new health policies that are before the Nigerian Parliament.
