Alumni and Friends

The MHA Program has been accredited since 1994 and has over 360 alumni working in healthcare organizations in Kentucky, more than 30 states, and abroad. A strong commitment to academic-practitioner partnership characterizes the UK MHA program. Through project-based assignments, part-time assistantships, summer internships, and interaction with executives who provide guest lectures and professional guidance, MHA students are connected with alumni and friends in many local and regional health-related organizations. Alumni support the program in many ways as noted above and as members of the UK MHA Board of Advisors. We are pleased to recognize and thank members of the Board for their service. We also want to stay connected to alumni, so please share updated contact information through clicking on this link.

The MHA Student Association (MHASA) elects officers annually, and is very active leading academic, charitable and social opportunities for students. This fall, the MHASA organized a welcome event for the first-year students prior to the start of the Fall Semester along with sharing information during orientation. For interested first year students, second year MHA students serve as mentors answering questions and providing information on the UK/Lexington community. This fall, the MHASA coordinated service events at the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure and the Saint Joseph Foundation STARS gala.

One of the unique events in Lexington occurs every April and Kentucky at Keeneland Race Course—thoroughbred horse racing. The MHASA sponsored a tailgating event for students in October at Keeneland to encourage fellowship and showcase a truly beautiful setting in the heart of the Bluegrass!
