Doctor of Philosophy in Gerontology

Any student who has completed at least a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree at on accredited intuitions of higher education may apply for admission to the Gerontology Ph.D. Program.

Notes from the DGS:

  • A Master’s degree is recommended, but is not necessary for admission to our program. Applicants who hold a Bachelor’s degree are generally subject to more careful review to ensure that the level of scholarly development is appropriate for rigorous doctoral studies.
  • Candidates for the doctoral program are encouraged to visit the graduate center to meet with faculty and students prior to submitting their application.
