Panel Discussion: Childhood Trauma and Adult Risk of Continued Violence

Dr. Ginny Sprang, Dr. Heather Bush and Dr. Sabrina Brown. Adverse Childhood Events can have short term and long term consequences. A child may be conditioned to accept ACEs as being part of a normal home life and in turn learn to devalue themselves and their needs in adolescence and adulthood. This could lead to relationships with domestic violence.
