The University of Kentucky is the home of one of the finest Natatoriums in the world. The Lancaster Aquatic Center contains lightning fast competition swimming courses and world class diving facilities. Located adjacent to the Johnson Center‚ the Lancaster Aquatic Center offers indoor swimming to the UK community. During our 50 hours of Recreational Swim‚ we provide 10 lanes for lap swimming and space for shallow water activities. This facility is open to UK Faculty‚ Staff‚ and students with a current UK Wildcard, and to Johnson Center/Alumni Gym members. The Seaton Center, located on the corner of University Drive and Complex Drive, is a multi-use facility that is shared among the Kinesiology Department, the UK Wellness Department, and UK Campus Recreation. The Seaton Center gym is home to kinesiology classes, UK MoveWell classes, and intramural sports. It is also available for group reservations and open recreation. The following outdoor rec areas are available for student use: Pieratt Recreation Fields‚ Cooper Drive Outdoor Basketball Courts‚ Complex Drive Outdoor Tennis Courts, Competitive Sports Fields, and the Cooper Drive Picnic Area (adjacent to the Pieratt Fields). Adena Park, an off-campus outdoor space, is a 7–acre tract in northern Fayette County suitable for picnics and casual outdoor recreational activities.
