Recovery Ally Training


What is this?  A 30-minute presentation on recovery from addiction, UK's Collegiate Recovery Community, ways to eliminate stigma, and how to become an Ally! Once you complete the training, you will receive a magnet that designates your space as a supportive environment for individuals in recovery. 

Learning Outcomes: 

•List the four dimensions that support a life in recovery
•Give the estimated number of students in recovery at UK
•Explain the mission of UK’s Collegiate Recovery Community (CRC)
•Give the location of the CRC
•Explain why person-first language is important
•List alternative choices for stigmatizing phrases
•Name one way to be a Recovery Ally moving forward

Who should take this training? Everyone! This training is available for students, faculty, staff, and community members. We can either host the presentation over by the CRC or we can come to you!
