Living Under the Sun: 3#
The challenge for our project was to define how we live under the sun today. What does it really mean to live under the sun? The s.ky blue team approach to this fundamental question was to design a home that efficiently harnesses the sun’s energy, integrates both passive and active means to provide all of the home’s lighting, electrical and thermal needs and results in an inspiring, desirable, light-filled place to live. The design of the house reflects this unique relationship through clerestory windows, a combination plan of breezeway and shotgun derived floor plans and an adaptable roof.
