The core goal of our mantra to “live.light” is rooted in our desire to inspire change — change in the way we build, change in the way we live, and change in the way we impact our environment.
The first approach is to live simple and to live smart. The second approach minimizes the impact on the land in terms of reducing embodied energy costs by using materials that are not at the end of their life cycles. In this way, the materials could be continually reused, recycled or repurposed beyond the competition.
The “live.light” approach centers on balancing natural and artificial light sources through an adaptive and controllable system. This method has both psychological and physiological experiential effects on those occupying the space. Our desired concept of “live.light” has been met by creating a visually interesting, inviting, warm and comfortable living space.
