The Johnson Center‚ located on Complex Drive‚ is a state–of–the–art recreation facility that is designed to provide choices and opportunities for healthy living. The appealing‚ open environment encourages participation and development of a positive‚ healthy lifestyle. It is a great place to gather‚ make new friends‚ and take a positive step towards lifelong health and fitness habits. Facilities available for basketball‚ weight training and conditioning‚ group fitness classes‚ climbing‚ volleyball‚ badminton‚ jogging‚ racquetball‚ and wallyball. A current UK student ID or Johnson Center membership ID is required for admittance.
Lancaster Aquatic Center
The University of Kentucky is the home of one of the finest Natatoriums in the world. The Lancaster Aquatic Center contains lightning fast competition swimming courses and world class diving facilities. Located adjacent to the Johnson Center‚ the Lancaster Aquatic Center offers indoor swimming to the UK community. During our 50 hours of Recreational Swim‚ we provide 10 lanes for lap swimming and space for shallow water activities. This facility is open to UK Faculty‚ Staff‚ and students with UK or BCTC identification. Spouses and family members are permitted to purchase passes.
Available for faculty/staff open recreation and special group reservations. Reservations restricted to recognized UK departments and registered student organizations. Open Gym Eligibility
■ Seaton Center open gym is open to UK and BCTC Faculty and Staff‚ and full–time VA employees only. Current UK, BCTC, or VA ID cards, along with a photo ID, are required for admittance.
■ Graduate Assistants and Teaching Assistants are considered part–time employees of the University and are eligible to utilize the Seaton open gym hours. GAs and TAs must have documentation that they have these positions either in the form of an UK or BCTC faculty/staff ID or a letter from their department. A form of photo ID will also be required.
■ UK Medical Center Faculty and Staff are eligible.
■ VA Hospital Staff are eligible.

This facility, located on the corner of Euclid and Limestone, contains two basketball courts, and also houses the UK Wellness Department Body Shop. Registered UK organizations may reserve the basketball gym for approved special events once a semester. For reservations contact Mark Lattin, 257-3928.
The basketball courts are open limited hours for recreational use by UK Students, faculty, and staff. Users must present a current UK student Wildcard, or current Faculty/Staff ID along with a photo ID. Alumni Gym phone number: 257-1426.

The Alumni Gym Body Shop is available for Body Shop members during their regular hours. Students may use the body shop only during special student hours. Students must present a current UK student Wildcard in order to use the Body Shop.

The following outdoor rec areas are available for student use: Pieratt Recreation Fields‚ Seaton Outdoor Basketball Courts‚ Coliseum Outdoor Basketball Courts‚ Complex Drive Outdoor Tennis Courts, and Alumni Drive Club Sports Fields. Picnic Areas: Cooper Drive Picnic Area – adjacent to the Pieratt Recreation Fields; Adena Park – a 7–acre tract in northern Fayette County. For reservations‚ please call (859) 257–3928.
