I used to think I needed to run three miles a day or hit the weights for an hour to see any results, but here’s something that will blow your mind. The majority of people who stick to the normal gym routine are most likely to get bored and quit within a couple weeks. Yep, that’s right, just two weeks. And believe me, we, the staff at the Johnson Center, have already seen the number of the people coming into the gym dwindle down a significant amount since the beginning of January.
So what do we propose? The best way to stay active is to get involved with recreational sports that you enjoy. The UK intramural crew does an outstanding job of setting up new sports and events every month. So, whether you’re into basketball or getting wet with inner tube water polo, we’ve got something for you.
